Introducing: Eik
Here I introduce you to Oslo based electronica duo Eik. They are Per Kåre Limmesand (keyboards and effects) and Kristoffer Carlsen (drums) and on June 11th released their debut album ‘Undetected’ through Planet Noise recordings. Eik describe their music as a combination of deep house, ambient textures and pop hooks. I couldn't agree more! Really catchy melodies with a hint of pop! Their inspirations come from artists such as Goldfrapp, Röyksopp, Groove Armada, Jamie Woon, Jean Michel Jarre and William Orbit. Out of this 8-track album I LOVE the tracks: All That You Said, 74, Utopia and Seems To Be Real. 74 is my favourite of all these tracks. Really great production and has a great pop hook. Brilliant! Just makes me wanna dance and dance! ‘Undetected’ was produced by the Norwegian electronica guru Knut Sævik. You can stream the album below and the album is out now on Amazon and iTunes!
