Rebecca Ferguson Reinterprets Billie Holliday's 'Lady Sings the Blues'
The amazing Rebecca Ferguson, has recorded a reintrepretation of Billie Holiday's seminal album 'Lady Sings The Blues'. Recorded at Capitol Studios in LA, the album will be released on RCA Records on March 9th, Billie Holiday's centenary year. Rebecca has an iconic voice compared to the likes of Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, and others. I am sure this album will sure do justice to Billie's music. The album was recorded in Los Angeles at the famed Capitol Studios, with producer Troy Miller, who has previously worked with Amy Winehouse, Rumer, Laura Mvula, Dexys Midnight Runners, Chaka Khan and ‘Gershwin recomposed’.
