[VIDEO PREMIERE] Give It Away (BLØSH)
Oslo-based electropop duo BLØSH premiered the visuals for their highly infectious tune: Give It Away.
Shot in Oslo, the visuals were directed by Jørgen Nordby Henriksen and Simen Skari Sandbæk (Team Me), who says:
Music has a unique ability to gather people from totally different backgrounds. No matter what age, education, religion, culture…we can always get together around music.
From the duo's own perspective,
The video tries to show how a band is viewed from the eyes of a fan and how that world can be very different from the reality. It's definitely meant to be taken with a pinch of humour.
I really love this song guys. It has that upbeat indie/electropop vibe and it is very cheerful with Teresa’s bright echoing vocals dancing merrily along the top of the addictively punchy bass, and a wall of guitar sound provided by Jørgen.
Citing an eclectic range of influences from The Beatles and Paul Simon to Dirty Projectors and The Dø, the pair’s sound is reminiscent of Hinds and OK Go meet Stealing Sheep, with whom Teresa has played in the past. In fact, though BLØSH may be unfamiliar to some, the duo are no strangers to the industry, having individually collaborated with the likes of Norwegian-Bulgarian sensation Mikhael Paskalev, Depedro, Jonas Alaska and China Crisis in the past. Teresa’s talents have also been praised by none other than Paul McCartney, who remarked in a private session: "other professional cellists cannot do what you do".
