Idalee Premieres In-Prison Music Video For New Single 'Heal'
Indie/rock artist Topher Hall, aka Idalee, has premiered the visuals for his brand new single Heal. After overcoming a near death experience, the singer-songwriter changed his ways to leave the darkness behind and start over with a music project unlike any other.
After visiting Muskegon Correctional Facility in Michigan, Idalee was deeply moved by what he saw. This trip inspired the creation of this song which is a personal ode about redemption. Really enjoying this song with so much positivity and optimism!
For the video Idalee teamed up with Prison Fellowship and was granted exclusive access to a Texas prison to record the collaborative music video/documentary for Heal with a prisoner band for an insider’s look into each of the prisoner’s emotional testimonials and deep connection they had with the song.
Heal is taken from his upcoming EP, Starting Now, which will be available for presale February 19th! The EP is a folk-pop personal project about rediscovering greater purpose and
soul-searching that embodies the talented singer-songwriter and will
captivate listeners.
Idalee takes influence from Nirvana, Elvis Costello, Weezer, Imagine Dragons, and Beck. The debut EP was produced by Will Brierre (The Killers’ Grammy-nominated Hot Fuss, Imagine Dragons’ Nightvisions,) and mixed by Ethan Kauffman (Ryan Cabrera).
