Laura Mvula unveils 'The Dreaming Room' artwork & tracklisting

Laura Mvula has unveiled the artwork and final tracklisting of her incredible forthcoming album, The Dreaming Room, which lands on June 17th. Laura will also be returning to Worthy Farm to play Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage on Sunday June 26th.

The Dreaming Room’ is an expansion on what was already a captivating sound. The heavenly layers of voices, the unexpected complex diversions and the celestial grandeur are still all there but with the addition of buzzy analogue synths and electric guitar lines. This is Laura in a new found light - still reflecting her distinctive signature sound but showing the progression of an artist who has come into her own.
From the Afro-disco first single ‘Overcome’, packed with upbeat sounds and intricate harmonies layered beneath stunning tribal beats, to the captivating ‘Kiss My Feet’- a mass of disjoint-ed beats and bereft lyrics and the epic and bold ‘People’, inspired by the crisis of black identity in the west. The music that makes up ‘The Dreaming Room’ is lively, ferocious and sounds ex-actly what it is - thrilling and unique but was also hard-won.
