As soon as I heard that emotional piano arrangement I knew I was going to love this song. Anatoli's distinctive vocals perfectly convey the emotion of the lyrics and are both vulnerable and powerful at the same time. Only a Stranger' is my debut single. It's a very personal song about people who meet in big cities, where everyone comes from somewhere else. People who fall in love and stay together to feel less lonely, until one day they realise they had been strangers all along and all the life they shared was just a passing moment in time.I wrote it on the piano, originally in a different key before choosing B-flat minor, a key that according to Tchaikovsky gives one "the feeling that you get when you are all alone"
