Gold Spectacles Unveil New Single ‘Stranger Than You’
London-based collaborative multi-instrumentalist, songwriting and producing duo Gold Spectacles are back with a groovy new single titled Stranger Than You, a song that draws on themes of marginalisation and social resistance.

This is yet another captivating piece of music by this duo and I can't stop playing it! Stranger Than You is packed with an intricate percussion, laid back bass lines and warm female vocals. I am loving the flute solo and how smooth this baroque-pop track is. Definitely a song that sticks to your head after the very first listen! Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Gold Spectacles said,
This track wrote itself really. The bassline came first and the rest just flowed. It’s a short but important song for our album. ‘Stranger Than You’ is about going against the grain in a world full of normal. As we grow up, we are pressured to by society hide our quirks and our individualities. We are encouraged to follow a set path (go to university, get a normal job, buy a house etc). We wrote this song for the alternative route. It’s ok to not be normal. We made artwork to represent keeping your childhood ambitions in sight.
Stranger Than You is the penultimate track to feature on the duo’s self-titled debut album set to arrive on November 15th.
