Simon D James Unveils New Single ‘The Rhyme & the Reason’

Following the release of his lovely single Written By Rules, Brighton-based singer/songwriter Simon D James is back with The Rhyme & the Reason , the fourth track to be lifted from his new EP, Days of Heaven, which sees the release of a new song every two weeks, being the remaining one Fooled By You (Oct. 4).

Produced by Ben Hampson, The Rhyme & The Reason, shows a folkier approach to Simon's music and I am absolutely in love with it. Simon's vocals sound great here and perfectly convey the emotion of the lyrics! I am a sucker for acoustic guitar-based songs and I am really enjoying how those intricate guitar melodies enhance the song's raw emotion with the female backing vocals and harmonies giving it a haunting touch.
