The Planetoids Share ‘Your Body’ Music Video
German 4-piece band The Planetoids have just shared the official music video for their latest single Your Body, an empowering song about freedom of choice and self-love.
I am really enjoying the song's retro touch especially due to Roland Juno 106's synths, punchy drums and groovy guitar riffs that back dreamy, soft vocals. Your Body is a beautiful combination of indie and 80s pop but with a very modern-sounding production. The song's message is quite empowering and its accompanying music video perfectly embodies that message.
The video addresses a problem that most women over the age of 25 have been confronted with at some point in their lives: Being pressured into having children - a very personal decision, that's nobody’s business but your own. What is a human body? What does it account for? Does it make sense to identify with it? Is it fair to judge someone by his or her body? And why are we asking so many questions?
The video features 40 women and baby strollers. Over the course of five days, 50 people were involved in the process of creating the clip, without any big money involved. Check it out below!
The Planetoids are a four-piece based in Hannover, Germany, but they originally met on Mars. Their shared love of the 80s, Disco and Indie made them fall in love with each other, resulting in a blast of cosmic energy that will make your hips shake and your heart miss a beat.
