Frida Sundemo Shares New Single ‘Backbone’
Swedish singer and songwriter Frida Sundemo has just shared her brand new EP, Sounds In My Head, a 5-track EP consisting of bold synth-pop tracks touching on themes of longing, fear, guilt, love and sadness.
One of the standouts off of this project is her lovely song Backbone, an emotive, mid-tempo song that explores
"that feeling when it suddenly hits you that you hurt someone you love. That mixed feeling of guilt, regret and endless love."
I am really enjoying the piano melodies and how they are beautifully intertwined with lush strings which enhance the emotion pouring out from her emotive vocal delivery. I am also enjoying how the song blends organic, almost orchestral, instrumentation with an electronic production making this quite an enthralling listening experience. Frida's vocals are gorgeous and the chorus is perfect to sing along to. Backbone has such a dreamy and laid-back atmosphere that makes it perfect for a relaxing weekend at home. Check it out below!
