Troi Irons Shares New Single ‘Flowers’
American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Troi Irons has just shared her energetic new single Flowers, a captivating piece of music about taking aim at a former partner.

This relatable song is backed by a killer production with weaving guitars backing her husky, raw vocals packed with emotion. I am really fond of the intro with her husky vocals being backed by smooth guitar riffs before the song explodes into an indie-rock piece of music with punchy drums and soaring guitars. It's the song's rock vibe that caught my attention and her relatable lyrics and distinctive vocals sealed the deal for me. If you're ever mad at a former partner then you'll love this song. The chorus has an anthemic and headbanging vibe and the song's guitar solo is quite epic. Check it out below!

Speaking on the new track, Troi said,
I wrote ‘Flowers’ about this terrible writing session I had where the guy kept talking about himself and wouldn’t stop dicking around on his shitty guitar. There was no dialogue; I left in the middle of the session, feeling really stupid. Because I don’t often do writing sessions or any collaboration – it requires vulnerability. It’s like having sex.

The song and the album as a whole are a meditation on femininity and how I’ve rejected it for most of my life because people make you feel stupid for it. And they have all these fucked up, untrue definitions. I am trying to reclaim femininity for myself.
