Rebecka Reinhard Shares New Single ‘No Release’
Swedish dream-pop singer and songwriter Rebecka Reinhard has just unveiled her brand new single No Release, taken from her Whale EP set to arrive on August 21st.
I am really enjoying her smooth and haunting vocal delivery and how it is backed by calming guitar chords, creating quite a warm and intimate atmosphere. Then the song is slowly joined by lush strings and it grows into a behemoth of cacophonous drums, soaring, psych-infused electric guitar riffs and infectious hooks that create quite an energetic atmosphere, leaving me feeling almost breathless by the finale thanks to that sudden rush of power. This contrasts of a soothing start and explosive finish is quite captivating and Rebecka's wistful vocals sealed the deal for me. Have a listen to this gem below!
Speaking about No Release, Rebecka said,
This song is where all the parts of me that are ever tired, hurt, worn out and fed up get to have their say. Tell their ugly version of the story. But it’s not a wallowing in self-pity. It’s a slow, rumbling war cry. An anthem being pushed relentlessly towards the edge of the cliff and finally hurled into the void.
