I adore Ellie M's lush vocals and how powerful they sound and easily convey the emotion of her storytelling. I wrote the lyrics to this song on the tube after staying the night with someone. It’s about having a lack of control over the other person's emotions or feelings, wishing you could know what they were and wondering. It’s about unexpected feelings and unknown/unexpected endings.
