Vola Tila Share New Single ‘Space Out’
Swedish alt-pop duo Vola Tila have just shared their brand new single Space Out, an atmospheric indie-pop ballad taken from their upcoming debut album.
Space Out was inspired by the hopeful yet gloomy desire to escape to a place where you can live in the present moment, beyond all ideals and routines and is beautifully wrapped around a dreamy and hypnotic production that got me hooked right after the very first listen. The song’s hypnotic instrumentation, with bright synths, shades of 60s psychedelic pop inspired by The Beatles, The Beach Boys and Pink Floyd, among others, is built upon a fuzzy guitar riff and pulsating drum comp, combined with raw, heavy-hearted vocals. This is one of those songs I play when I want to relax and forget about my problems and simply space out. Check it out below!
Speaking about the song, Vola Tila said,
When you space out you gain perspective. And it becomes clear that you are observing what you thought was reality, except now you are seeing it for what it really is. Sometimes it makes you feel like an alien and you just want some company.
