I adore Biz Colletti's smooth and expressive vocal delivery and how they effortlessly convey the emotion of her relatable storytelling.
Trust Myself is an introspective piece of indie-pop music about making a mistake and having an internal talk with ourselves about what happened and realising our weaknesses. I've been on this road many times and I think most of you will relate to this song. Biz Colletti's storytelling is beautifully wrapped around a polished production with lush melodies, lovely vocals and haunting harmonies with an overall laid-back atmosphere that makes it perfect for an introspective day home alone. Speaking about the song, Biz Colletti said,
I wrote this song after I made a mistake I thought I never would. I lost all my values and morals in hopes of being loved and it backfired. This was my comedown. It was extremely difficult for me to write and be that vulnerable and open but I needed to. This song represents my strong willed self, my best self talking to my lesser self. Hopefully it can show people that everyone makes mistakes and we just have to realize our weaknesses.
