Flynn Marks Shares Debut Single ‘Crown’

British singer and songwriter Flynn Marks makes his musical introduction with the release of his lovely debut single Crown.

I am loving Flynn's rich, soulful vocals and how it soars effortlessly over the fragile melodies, instantly capturing the listener's attention to his heartfelt storytelling. Crown is an acoustic guitar-driven song about the trials and tribulations of being a post millennial teenager, wrapped around a warm and intimate production. I am really enjoying how his vocals are packed with so much emotion and how the intricate guitar melodies beautifully enhance the emotion of his lovely storytelling. This is quite an impressive debut single and it got me excited to hear more from him.

In the meantime, you can check out the accompanying visuals, directed by Critical Flavor, which effortlessly embodie the song's emotional and intimate atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Flynn Marks said,

I wrote ‘Crown’ in my first year at university, after one of many emotionally fuelled nights out. Ultimately, the song exposes my feelings of wasting time on someone I liked, and although it seemed reciprocated at the time, with the gift of hindsight - it's obvious they just craved the attention rather than me. When you’re young, navigating your way through the ‘snakes and ladders’ of a relationship is hard, especially in 2020. Crown’ attempts to paint a picture of my personal experience.
