American singer and songwriter Trent Toney has just shared his brand new single My Mind, a captivating heartbreak pop song.
I am really enjoying the intricate acoustic guitar riffs throughout the song and how Trent's vocals are packed with so much raw and honest emotion, effortlessly conveying the emotion of his heartfelt storytelling with the listener. My Mind reminds me a bit of Ed Sheeran's type of music and if you're a Sheeran fan you will love this one.
I am also very fond of the way the guitars are intertwined with the emotive piano chords which enhance the emotion of Trent Toney's nostalgic storytelling.
Accompanying this heartfelt storytelling is such a stunning music video directed by Isaiah Shields which sees the story being told through two stuffed animals which, to me, enhances the sadness of the lyrics. Check it out below!
