I, the Mountain Unveil New Single ‘Coal Mine’
Canadian indie, Folk-pop band I, the Mountain have just unveiled their brand new single Coal Mine, a captivating piece of indie-folk music that explores themes of lost love and hope.
I am loving those gorgeous vocals packed with so much emotion which instantly got me hooked to the song and their storytelling. Inspired by the coal mine's of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada, Coal Mine is a relatable song about lost love and hope wrapped around a highly infectious production.
I am really enjoying the intricate acoustic guitar riffs throughout the song and how they are nicely paired with electric guitar, punchy percussion and emotive piano chords, creating quite a warm atmosphere for the vocals and storytelling to soar. The song has a cool melancholy feel to it with the chorus and harmonised vocals giving the song a haunting and anthemic touch that I think you guys will enjoy. Check it out below!
