Command Sisters Unveil New Single ‘Rain On My Parade’
Canadian duo Command Sisters, consisting of sisters Charlotte and Sarah Command, have just unveiled their brand new single Rain On My Parade, out now via 21 Entertainment/Universal Music Canada/Republic Records.
Their first offering of the year, Rain On My Parade is a deeply personal song after experiencing a traumatic event in their own lives. With this song the sisters aim to empower everyone to say that the ones that have hurt them no longer have control of them, that they are finally free.
The heavy hitting lyrics are wrapped around their undeniable signature style full of boldness, seduction and raw truth. I am really enjoying their attitude-packed vocal delivery and how the production has an edgy/gritty vibe with a cool beat and lush guitars that perfectly matches their storytelling. Describing their thought process behind Rain On My Parade, they commented,
While we were writing it, we wanted to capture the moment a victim realizes that the person that hurts them no longer has control of them. It’s basically a middle finger moment.
This song and subject matter are something most people can connect with – whether it’s mental health causing havoc in your life, a toxic relationship or the pandemic and financial struggles. Bad things happen to good peopleall the time. Writing ‘Rain On My Parade’ was the release of all those feelings we had bottled up.
