Jared Alto Shares Debut Single ‘Open’

East-London based queer singer and songwriter Jared Alto has just shared his majestic debut single Open, a heartwarming, introspective piece of music.

I am really enjoying the tone of his vocals and how they easily convey the emotion of his lovely storytelling. Harnessing his vulnerability, Open is a tender reminder to appreciate the smaller moments in life before they become just a memory. Jared Alto's honest songwriting is wrapped around a stellar production by Olly Shelton that beautifully enhances the emotion pouring from his vocals. Contrasting intimate and expansive moments, the single is a reflective piece of melancholic pop laced with intricate piano and rising melodies. I am particularly fond of the emotive piano chords and how the song instantly captured my attention from start to finish. This is one of those songs perfect for an introspective day at home and to realise that we shouldn't take those little moments for granted. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Jared Alto said,

The song is about appreciating the little moments in life, the ones we tend to take for granted with someone. It shows glimpses of things that would never make it on a social media feed. When I wrote the lyrics, I couldn’t shift the thought that we only stop to remember little details once it’s too late. And when it is too late, we’re haunted by the doubts and regrets.
