JUICYPEAR Share New Single ‘Just Begun’

Socal husband-and-wife duo JUICYPEAR, consisting of Jacob and Jasmine Mayeda, have just shared their brand new single Just Begun, a sun-soaked piece of music about life not going as we planned.

I am loving Jasmine Mayeda's smooth, dreamy vocals that instantly capture the listener's attention to their relatable storytelling. Just Begun shares a positive message of moving on and accepting life's new challenges as a way to being a new path in life. This message is wrapped around a warm, 70s-inspired, folk-infused pop production that blends a warm ’n’ breezy CA coastline groove with campfire-ready acoustic instrumentation and the duo’s dreamy, sun-kissed harmonies. This is a great song for a relaxing summer's day and I think you will love it too. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Jasmine Mayeda said,

You know when you think you know the direction your life is going in? Like, you had a plan and your mind and your heart was set on that dream or goal, and you could see yourself down the road with this certain outcome and all of a sudden you find out you didn’t get that job position, or you didn’t get accepted into that school or program, or it wasn’t what you expected it to be, or you found out you’re having a baby? And then, that news brings all your expectations, your dreams, your plans to a crashing halt and you are forced to either make a complete U-turn or turn down a road you had not planned for but you have to take anyway.

This fall we had one of those unexpected moments and we cried and felt all the feelings to truly allow ourselves to mourn what we thought our life was going to look like for the next few years. In this process we learned to let it go and to accept a new normal and a new route, and you know what, after a few weeks (or months) we started to warm up to this new plan. We knew “it’ll turn out fine. It’ll be alright” and we can confidently go down this road with joy realizing this was always how it was supposed to be and actually our lives have just begun.
