Georgia Lines Shares New Single ‘Call Me By My Name’

New Zealand singer and songwriter Georgia Lines has just shared her brand new single Call Me By My Name, a warm, piano-driven ballad.

I am really enjoying Lines' exquisite, powerhouse vocals which soar effortlessly over the warm production and instantly draw our attention to her storytelling. Written with acclaimed writer and producer Djeisan Suskov, Call Me By My Name is a relatable song that explores human relationships and the challenges we all feel as humans. This message is wrapped around a polished production with lush piano chords nicely paired with catchy percussion, creating an overall warm and intimate atmosphere for her storytelling and vocals to soar.

Speaking about the song, Georgia Lines said,

It’s about the tension that is felt in every relationship where as individuals we want to be seen, understood and valued for who we are. I am so incredibly proud of this one. Djeisan [Suskov] is such an incredible writer and producer, and it has been such a privilege working together on ‘Call Me By My Name’.

The single is accompanied by a self-directed music video that is best described as a visual piece of art, which beautifully embodies the song's atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the video, Georgia Lines said,

I loved being a part of the directing process in this video. My inner bossy 12 year old self came to the surface in the director’s chair. We filmed the video whilst doing a photoshoot for ‘Call Me By My Name’ and thought it was such a fun concept of splitting screens to create strange and wonderful silhouettes of myself with all the moments that happen behind the camera.
