NGAIIRE Shares New Single ‘Him’

Papua New Guinean/Australian future soul singer and songwriter NGAIIRE has just shared her brand new single Him, the latest single to be taken from her upcoming album 3, set to arrive on August 27th via Majestic Casual. 

Him is a stunning piece of music about a deeply personal conversation that no one dreams of having with the people they love. It’s about the legacy of love. This message is wrapped around a warm soul/r&b-tinged pop production on whiich NGAIIRE's powerful, soulful vocals soar effortlessly over. I love the raw emotion pouring from her vocals and how that emotion is enhanced by a warm production packed with emotive piano chords, steady percussion, memorable beat and ethereal backing vocals.

I am full to the brim of stories that many don’t have the privilege to hold within themselves; some I know quite well and some live deep in my DNA that I won’t have enough lifetimes to unpack. But the ones I know, I will tell how I want to because I can. So here is a collection of love letters to 3 entities - myself, my country and those I love both here and now departed.
