Marcus Shares New Single ‘Let Them Know’

Fast-rising Irish singer and songwriter Marcus has just shared his brand new single Let Them Know, an uplifting indie-pop song taken from his eagerly-awaited new EP, Not Real, set to arrive on September 3rd via Fat Mouth. 

I am really enjoying his distinctive tone and how his vocal delivery sounds quite vulnerable and earnest, flowing beautifully over the warm production. Let Them Know focuses on the stigma around expressing your true passions and allowing yourself to feel, acting as a call to arms for those that really need help and support in talking about their emotions. This uplifting message is wrapped around a warm production packed with intricate acoustic guitar-based melodies nicely paired with subtle percussion, creating an overall laid-back atmosphere perfect for an introspective day home alone. Speaking about the song, Marcus said,

There's a tendency among young people in Ireland not to talk about their feelings. I wrote 'Let Them Know' during a period in my life when I was realising the huge benefit of opening up. The message I have tried to relay in this song is that if something is troubling you, talk about it. I decided to print a run of shirts to correlate with the release of this song and sell them in aid of Pieta House, a mental health charity doing incredible work in Ireland.
