Harris Mac Shares New Single ‘The Sun’

American artist Harris Mac has just shared his brand new single The Sun, an upbeat pop song about living in a big city and wanting to move to a calmer place. 

 

I am really enjoying the playful piano chords and how they give the song somewhat of a fun, theatrical touch that allows us to focus on his storytelling. The Sun is a personal story of living in New York and having the blues, and missing nature, and wanting to "move out to the sun" (ie a tropical paradise) or a place where there is less stress and less lonliness. This song makes me feel very fortunate to live in a calm place surrounded by nature and sun. The Sun beautifully showcases Harris Mac's lovely vocals and storytelling abilities over a warm, upbeat production packed with lush piano chords, cool synths and touches of melancholia and tropical vibes.
