Merchant Shares New Single ‘Lose Somebody’

Los Angeles-based artist Merchant has just shared his brand new single Lose Somebody, a lovely electro/indie-pop song out now via Hands Off The Merchandise. 

 

I am a fan of Merchant's gorgeous vocals and how they beautifully connect the listener to his relatable storytelling. Lose Somebody is an earnest lament about the loss of love, loss of self and loss of life. This message is wrapped around a memorable production with some retro vibes that I find quite captivating. This gem combines a percolating beat with lush electric guitar strums, bright, shimmering synths and groovy percussion that create an overall warm, feel-good atmosphere. The song has some touches of melancholia that I find it makes it perfect for a chill, laid-back day alone with one's thoughts or out in the sun. Check it out below!
