Nissu Unveils New Single ‘U’
Nissu, the moniker of Dublin-based, Brazilian singer and songwriter Vinícius Lessa de Andrade Teixeira, has just shared his brand new single U, an upbeat pop song about being apart from someone you love.
The second single to be taken from his upcoming EP, U was producer by Trey Vittetoe and was inspired by one of his best friends who moved out and the feelings that come with living abroad and away from friends and family. This message is wrapped around an upbeat pop production with catchy melodies that create an overall feel-good atmosphere. I am very fond of Nissu's vocals and how the chorus is perfect to sing along to.
Speaking about the song, Nissu said,
I wrote U inspired by one of my best friend Jessica when I was 17, and the lyrics of the song, visuals and videos are all inspired by her. She was moving out of the city we lived in and told me she 'wish she could put me in a box to take me wherever she goes'. writing the song was my way of dealing with how much I was missing her. The song is about how to deal with this feeling, and living abroad and away from a lot of my friends and family It feels still so relatable to me and I hope people can relate to it as well.
