Sam Tompkins Shares ‘(w)hole’ Acoustic Version
British singer and songwriter Sam Tompkins has just shared a stunning live acoustic version of his emotionally-charged single (w)hole, out now via Universal-Island Records.
This acoustic version not only showcases Tompkins’ powerful vocals but also his ability to intimately convey his own relatable experiences through candid, heartfelt lyrics. (w)hole is a relatable song about the need to find that human connection that can bring us out of what he beautifully describes as an "ocean sized hole". I am a sucker for stripped down/acoustic versions and this one is simply amazing. Sam Tompkins' distinctive vocals are packed with raw, honest emotion which is enhanced by the subtle guitar melody.
Accompanying the release, Sam Tomkins shared a captivating music video of him performing the song in the middle of the woods, making it even more of a memorable listening experience. I am absolutely in love with his voice and I think you guys will too! Check it out below!
Speaking about the song, Sam Tompkins said,
I think ‘(w)hole’ is sort of a realisation of knowing that not every problem in the world can be fixed by one person. If there is meaning or purpose to this life, it has to come from being and working alongside one another.
