Chloe Rodgers Shares New Single ‘Bones’

Following the release of her jazzy single Better View and the melancholy-infused Back To The Quay, British singer and songwriter Chloe Rodgers has just shared her brand new single Bones, a vibrant indie/electro-pop song out via Crowds & Power.

I am a fan of Chloe's smooth, dulcet tone and in this song they have a more confident and commanding touch that instantly drew my attention to her storytelling. Bones finds Chloe pursuing a more electronic aesthetic, being one of the more euphoric additions of her upcoming EP. This is a song about losing someone with lush harmonies soaring over a memorable driving beat nicely paired with subtle piano chords, warm electronic and cool guitars that create somewhat of a feel-good atmosphere that makes it perfect to dance to while singing along to it. This new release is accompanied by a delightful new video directed by longtime visual collaborator Kate Lomas which beautifully enhances the song's warm atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the release, Chloe said,
I love this song, I can’t wait to perform it. The lyrics are quite political in a sort of abstract way. The darkness of it makes it so fun. It was a great day when we finished it. Adding the harmonies was my favourite part of the production.

While the song’s co-writer Alex Starling added,
Bones is largely about losing someone who should have been close and being excluded from not only their life but also their death.
