Salt Ashes Shares Fierce New Single ‘Lucy’

London-based, Brighton born singer Salt Ashes (Veiga Sanchez) has just shared her brand new single Lucy, the latest single to be taken from her upcoming sophomore album, Killing My Mind, out on November 5th via Radikal Records.

Lucy carries a hard-hitting message, speaking out against violence towards women and is wrapped around a fierce electro-pop production. This message is wrapped around a captivating blend of reverberated guitars, raw synth textures and a driving, pulsating rhythm section that got me energised in no time. Soaring beautifully over the upbeat melodies we have Salt Ashes' soaring vocals which are packed with so much confidence and emotion, perfectly enhancing her message of defiance. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Salt Ashes said,
‘Lucy’ represents every woman who has ever been objectified, commodified or had their consent diminished. I knew it would be a difficult subject to tackle, especially with the Sarah Everard case being so raw right now for everyone but behaviours need to change and change starts with a conversation... So we shouldn't be afraid to talk about it.
