Estella Dawn Shares New Single ‘Salt’

New Zealand born, Colorado-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Estella Dawn is back with her first release of the year Salt, an infectious piece of electro-pop music out now via Purplestar Records.

I am a fan of Estella Dawn's powerful and passionate vocal delivery which instantly drew my attention to her relatable storytelling. Salt is a song about those moments in life when things aren't going well and you feel terrible and exhausted. It shares a message that we're all just doing our best and that it's okay to cry and let that frustration pour away. Life's hard and we all have our particular way to cope with the obstacles it throws at us. This message is beautifully conveyed through a captivating blend of electronic and pop elements that create an overall warm atmosphere perfect for her vocals and storytelling to soar. Apart from her gorgeous vocals, I am particularly fond of the warm rhythms and infectious beat that make the song stand out even more. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Estella Dawn said,
I’ve always seen my internal darkness as wolves, I’m either part of the pack, or on the run from the parts of myself that scare me. But no matter which side I’m on, they’re always there. When the pack is descending and my mind starts spiraling it feels like all I can do is keep my head down and set one foot in front of the other, just getting through the day in hope of a better tomorrow. We all have our own ways to cope, whether it’s having a cry sitting on the floor of your shower or screaming along to aggressive rock music in the car, buying too many house plants or finding comfort in somebody else's company, drinking, smoking, eating, the list goes on. We’re all just doing our best.
