Edie Carey Shares New Single ‘The Chain’

Chicago-based singer and songwriter Edie Carey has just shared her brand new single The Chain, gorgeous piece of indie-folk/pop music about finally being able to let go. 

 

I am loving Edie Carey's rich, expressive vocals which instantly capture our attention to her relatable storytelling. Co-written with Megan Burtt, The Chain is a song about feeling like we are never enough in the eyes of another, that no matter what we do or try to prove, their view of us remains unchanged. It shares a message of realisation, recognition and, ultimately, of letting go, finally being free and it is wrapped around a memorable production packed with awesome guitar riffs nicely intertwined with punchy drums that create an overall warm atmosphere perfect for a chill weekend.
