Calum Scott Shares New Single ‘Heaven’
Multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter Calum Scott has just shared his brand new single Heaven, the latest single to be taken from Calum's sophomore album Bridges, which is out now through Capitol Records.
While Bridges sometimes journeys into emotionally heavy terrain — shedding light on such complex issues as mental health, self-worth, and loss — Heaven emerges as a moment of pure bliss as Calum speaks to the sublime power of surrendering to love. What I like the most about this song is the raw emotion pouring from Calum Scott's passionate vocals which instantly connects us to his relatable storytelling. Apart from Calum's gorgeous vocals I am particularly fond of the emotive piano chords which are seamlessly intertwined with cinematic strings and steady beat that create an overall warm and emotional atmosphere.
Accompanying the release, Calum Scott has shared its spellbinding music video, directed by Lewis Cater, which finds Calum seated in the backseat of a car, gazing out the window as he roams the streets of Los Angeles. From that vantage point, he takes in a series of scenes capturing the song’s spirit of indomitable love: two women meeting up at a coffee shop for their first date, an older couple riding through the city on a motorcycle, a just-married bride and groom dining in a fast-food joint in their gown and tuxedo, and more.
