FKB Share New Single ‘Color Blind’
Canadian, four-piece, indie-pop band FKB, consisting of JUNO Award-nominated songwriter Drew Shalka (lead vocals/bass), Travis Topylki (lead guitar), Derek Chalut (drums), and Alex Fedorouk (rhythm guitar), share their brand new single Color Blind, an upbeat, disco-inflected piece of indie pop music.
Brimming with joy and feel-good vibes, Color Blind finds Drew Shalka beautifully showcasing is gorgeous, dynamic vocal delivery over an infectious production that instantly got me in a good mood and ready for the weekend. I am particularly fond of the groovy guitar plucks and riffs throughout the song and how they are seamlessly paired with a killer bass, catchy drum patterns and rhythms that together create an overall warm, joyful atmosphere that exudes carefree summer vibes. Check it out below!
Speaking about the song, Drew Shalka said,
“Color Blind” is us finding a way to connect our influences from the past, like The Beatles, Elvis Presley, and The Beach Boys, with the modern sounds of Foster The People, Portugal the Man and The Weeknd. We wanted to draw from the excitement of our live shows and give people something they can dance to.
