Rosie H Sullivan Shares New Single ‘Timeless’

Scottish singer and songwriter Rosie H Sullivan shares her brand new single Timeless, a melancholy-infused indie-folk gem taken from her upcoming EP, In My Nature, set to arrive on November 10th!

Encapsulating the true essence of Rosie’s adoration for Scotland, Timeless embraces listeners with its vulnerable, acoustic guitar strums that instantly set the tone for a warm, melancholic listening experience. I am a fan of Rosie's smooth, emotive vocals which exude so much raw emotion and soul, being then paired with layers of lush strings and a moving spoken word from Scottish kayaking pioneer, the late Hamish Gow. This is one of those songs perfect to give you the feels in no time, and to play during a cold, rainy day home alone when you want to feel a warm, comforting embrace.

Its accompanying video, filmed and edited by Stuart Breadner, finds Roise performing in the surroundings that helped inspire the meaning and journey of the track – the Scottish coast line. The director wanted to get a sense of vulnerability and singularity in the shot choice which helps reinforce the song's power. The video is also interspersed with original footage from the Hamish Gow films her father helped restore. The series of videos are a fitting ode to a wonderful explorer who could have easily been forgotten had it not been for Rosie's family. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Rosie said,
In his final years, Hamish Gow, a close friend of my father’s passed onto us some old cinefilm that showed them kayaking around Scottish islands in the 1960s. This was created into a film, which Hamish narrated over, recalling the adventures of his youth. Part of this recording now sits nestled within the bridge of Timeless. It’s a big moment for me, and my family to have Hamish’s voice out there, and never forgotten.
