Maïa Davies Shares ‘Stockholm’ Music Video

Canadian bilingual, Juno-nominated producer, songwriter and recording artist Maïa Davies shares the official music video for her dramatic new single Stockholm. 

 

The 4th single to be taken from her forthcoming new album scheduled for release in Spring 2024 on acronym records, Stockholm is a song that finds Davies bravely tackling the issue of sexual misconduct and abuse of power in the music industry, based on her own challenging experience. This honest storytelling is flawlessly conveyed through Maïa's rich, expressive vocals which exude raw emotion and soul, soaring effortlessly over a backdrop of theatrical strings and pianos that create an overall intimate and dramatic atmosphere. 

 

Accompanying the release we have a striking music video, directed by MMVA winning Canadian director Lisa Mann, that paints textural Vermeer-esque portraits of shattering loss and courageous renewal. The video was shot in Toronto with an all-star team of award-winning film professionals, and is a stark, moody homage to classical art. Check it out below!
