why do you make me wait? finds the talented artist beautifully showcasing her lovely, expressive vocals and storytelling abilities over a timeless ballad-esque arrangement. I am really enjoying the song's heart-wrenching lyrics that infuse the song with a touch of melancholia that won me over from the start. I am also very fond of the delicate piano keys and how they are seamlessly intertwined with lush strings and percussive elements, together creating an overall epic, emotive atmosphere perfect for an introspective day home alone.
