Abby Nissenbaum Shares New Single ‘Perfect Crime’

Critically acclaimed, Nashville-based LGBTQ+ classically-trained soprano, musical theater performer, indie-rock artist Abby Nissenbaum shares her highly anticipated single Perfect Crime, the latest single to be taken from her upcoming EP Don’t Want to Cry, to be released this September.

Recorded at the famed Forty-One Fifteen in Nashville and produced by Steph Trivison, Perfect Crime finds Nissenbaum beautifully showcasing her relatable storytelling and passionate vocals over a captivating blend of alternative-pop, folk and indie-rock elements. Written as an empowerment anthem for those who have been silenced, harmed and/or stigmatized but others, Perfect Crime is Nissenbaum's way to remind listeners that Karma comes back around and that the universe will eventually give those wrongdoers what they deserve. Backing her honest, heartfelt lyrics we have catchy melodies, soaring guitars and punchy drums that together create an overall confident, feel-good atmosphere.

Speaking on the new single, Nissenbaum reveals,
We all know someone who's gotten away with something they shouldn't have. I wrote ‘Perfect Crime’ as an empowerment anthem for people who have been harmed, silenced, and/or stigmatized by wrongdoers, and I hope it can serve as a reminder that the universe will eventually dole out justice in one form or another.” She continues, “‘Perfect Crime’ is a single from my forthcoming EP, Don't Want to Cry. The lyrics delve into serious themes such as mental health and toxic relationships, but I still wanted all the songs to be catchy, upbeat, powerful, and ultimately hopeful.
