Mak Ro, the Memphis-based Filipino-American duo consisting of Eric Makapugay (Multi-Instrumentalist/Producer/Songwriter) and Kristoffer Ruaro (Singer/Producer/Songwriter), share their brand new single Hero, a super smooth Contemporary R&B cut that blends unique musical elements with heart-wrenchingly honest lyrics about the complexities of love that exist solely in the dark. 

 

What I like this most about this song is its warmth and how much soul is pouring from Kristoffer Ruaro's vocals, instantly setting the tone for a memorable and enthralling listening experience. We're super excited to be sharing a new side of us to our listeners. I know it's been a whole year since our last release but I think my favorite part about this song is that we really got a chance to take our time shaping and molding it into something so beautiful and cinematic. Overall, I feel like we came up with something that we haven't really heard ourselves do before. Kinda like putting on a new outfit and being surprised at how well it fits. Like, OK SERVE!
