Eli Smart Drops New Single ‘Another Sundown’

Hawaiian singer and songwriter Eli Smart shares his brand new single Another Sundown, a super warm, comforting piece of music out now on Aloha Soul Disques. 

 

I am loving his smooth, expressive vocals which glide effortlessly over the captivating production, infusing it with a memorable dose of soul with a comforting touch that I really liked. Another Sundown transports us to a psychedelic, golden glow sunset on the island of Kaua’i (Hawaii) where Eli grew up. As an islander myself I can really feel the breezy and warmth of the song, instantly making me picture the gorgeous sunsets I am lucky to see every day at home. Apart from Smart's gorgeous vocals, I am particularly fond of the delicate guitar plucks that are seamlessly intertwined with cool rhythms and subtle percussive elements and psych/dreamy vibes that come together to create an overall warm, feel-good atmosphere perfect for a laid-back summer's day enjoying a beautiful sunset.

He says on the new single,

‘Another Sundown’ is an ode to a particular place back home. There’s a lookout close to my house which faces the north east side of the island. It’s a magical little zone. I first started writing this song there. The tones and textures of this tune, for me, capture another shade of life back home. A deeper beauty within the stormy darker days. An underwater pulse is at the core groove of this tune, it was a total joy and sonic adventure to follow it and see this tune all the way to the surface.
