Scottish artist and producer Fourth Daughter, real name Emily Atkinson, shares her brand new single Higher (Just A Feeling), a warm, blissful blend of Electro Pop/Future House music!

Out now via music is fun, Higher (Just A Feeling) finds the talented artist sharing a message about the liberating moment of letting go of anything that’s weighing you down, resulting in an uplifting, high energy sound that won me over from the start. I am loving the smooth, ethereal-like vocals which beautifully infuse the song with a memorable touch of vulnerability and emotion. Those vocals definitely make the song stand out from others and I like how they are nicely accompanied by a high-energy production that instantly gave me the urge to get up and dance. The chorus is perfect to sing along to and I like how they groovy rhythms are beautifully intertwined with lush House piano keys, expansive synths and killer percussive elements that come together to create a blissful, sun-soaked, danceable atmosphere perfect for a fun night out with friends and for those moments when I need to dance my pain away! Speaking about the song, Fourth Daughter said,
It was written on the most freezing day at the beginning of December last year, which is kinda funny given how summery the song is. I was in the studio for a full week with the same producer and we were a couple days in at this point. We had been writing darker songs so, on this day, I felt like writing the complete opposite to mix it up. The song was written from scratch in about six hours and felt like a total blur because we were just in the zone and on a total high writing it! Lyrically the inspiration was just about how looking forward can actually be the thing to carry you – when you feel optimism about letting go and you're just buzzing. I wish I could bottle the feeling that went into the song that day.
