Joshua McCooey Drops New Single ‘Smile Paradise’
San Francisco Bay Area, pop-rock prodigy Joshua McCooey shares his brand new single Smile Paradise, an upbeat celebration of the end of summer.
I am loving the tone of his voice and how passionate his delivery is, soaring effortlessly over the infectious R&B-inspired pop production. Smile Paradise is inspired by Joshua's homesickness for California after a year in New York City, exuding a sense of warmth and camaraderie he experiences while in California. Apart from his passionate vocals, I am particularly fond of the steady drum patterns which are nicely intertwined with a killer bass, lush brass elements and a memorable keyboard performance that together create an overall warm, blissful atmosphere perfect for a carefree summer's day.
In Joshua's own words,
Smile Paradise is more than just a song, it's a feeling. It's about the joy of sharing a smile with someone, the warmth of the California sun, and the sense of community that comes from being in a place where everyone is welcome. I hope that when people listen to this song, they feel a little bit of that paradise, no matter where they are.
