Justine Blanchet Shares New Single ‘What I Got’

Canadian singer and songwriter Justine Blanchet has just shared her brand new single What I Got a captivating Country/Pop-Rock song.

Written by Blanchet and produced by Nashville-based producer Ryan Rossebo (Trey Lewis, Leanne Pearson), What I Got finds the talented artist sharing an introspective self-examination following a fractured relationship. This relatable storytelling is flawlessly delivered through Justine's hard-hitting vocals that are packed with honest emotion and soul, soaring effortlessly over the infectious production. Apart from her passionate vocal delivery, I am particularly fond of the splashy keyboard plucks and how they are seamlessly paired with modern country touches of banjo and guitar riffs and punchy drums that come together to create an overall warm atmosphere.

Justine says,
This song was inspired by a challenging relationship that ended with a lot of heartbreak. As I wrote it, I caught myself thinking about how his next relationship would compare with ours, leading to a lot of inner conflict about the somber reality of what had happened between us and how I should feel about the future. At its core, ‘What I Got’ is about accepting exactly what you got from your own relationship – without illusions – and moving on.
