New York City-based singer and songwriter Simone shares her brand new single Emma, a heartfelt piano-based song! 

 

What I like the most about this song is how passionate and emotionally-charged Simone's vocal delivery is, soaring effortlessly over the heartwarming production. Emma is a relatable love song about the plethora of emotions that come with first love, a message beautifully delivered through Simone's stunning vocals that soar brightly over the captivating melodies. You can feel the raw emotion and vulnerability pouring from her delivery which is enhanced by lush, emotive piano keys that are seamlessly paired with delicate acoustic guitar strums, subtle beat and rhythms that come together to create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere.

Speaking about the song, Simone said,

Writing “Emma” was one of those rare experiences where a song feels like it’s writing itself. I wrote it spontaneously one day in my bedroom at a moment in my life where I was falling in love for the first time. I had never really written a love song before, so this song kind of surprised me. “Emma”, subconsciously, came from the perspective of someone experiencing the most terrifying, beautiful, and all-encompassing emotions that come with first love. I tried to capture the intensity of that experience through lyrics like “Take your clothes off, baby, so I can see through you/I don’t wanna lose you”. When I listen to this song now, a couple years after writing it, I can hear the naiveté of a younger me through the lyrics. And I admire her.
