Sparxsea Shares New Single ‘Daylight’

Sparxsea, the project of Portland, Maine indie folk-pop artist Chelsea Toussaint, shares her brand new single Daylight featuring Jerome Deupree from the legendary low-rock band Morphine, on drums.

Daylight is released through non-profit label CommunityZ RecordZ and is out in a sincere effort to raise money for an amazing charity that rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes abused and neglected wild mustang horses in southern Maine, the Ever After Mustang Rescue. I am really enjoying Sparxea's smooth, expressive vocals and how they are nicely accompanied by lush guitar riffs and Deupree's stunning skills on the drums. This is such a good cause and the song is a captivating blend of indie-pop with rock elements with an earthy touch that make it perfect for a long drive and for chill moments alone.

While filming the music video for the song, they learned of the recent passing of Mona Jerome, the matriarch and soul blood of the rescue, as well as the now-seemingly insurmountable challenges they are now facing and quite frankly, the dire situation they find themselves in. We witnessed the dedication and affection this volunteer-based charity commits to the care of these horses, most of whom have suffered trauma and abuse.
