Avery Lynch Drops Heartfelt New Single ‘somebody new’

Los Angeles-based singer & songwriter Avery Lynch shares her brand new single somebody new, a heartfelt piano-based ballad. 

 

Taken from her latest EP, As Writtem Vol. 2, which is out now on Records V2 LLC, somebody new is a raw, heartfelt piece of music that instantly gave me the feels and got me excited to want to share it with you guys. There's a memorable touch of melancholia that keeps me coming back to this song which is, at heart, a beautiful, honest love song. somebody new finds Lynch pouring her heart out and singing about loving someone so much that if they want to move on with someone new you want them to find it, if that's what makes them happy. It's a true love song, with no hidden agenda, an expression of simply wanting the best to that person you love the most. A heartfelt message flawlessly delivered through her lovely, delicate vocals and echoing harmonies (which remind me a bit of Billie Eilish) that are accompanied by a delicate, piano-based ballad, together creating an overall warm, intimate atmosphere.

Speaking about the song, Avery Lynch said,

It’s a love song that’s so real and honest that it’s also heartbreaking. It’s about loving someone so much that you don’t want to be with anyone else. And if they want someone new, you want that for them, though that wouldn’t change how you feel. It felt like a movie to write, and now it sounds like a movie when you listen. My piano playing for years has taken a back seat in my songwriting and I’m so excited to reintroduce it in this song and in more to come.
