Germano Unveils New Single ‘panic!’

Brazilian-born, LA-based pop artist Germano has released his brand new single panic!, a haunting alt-pop song that captures the singer’s feelings of anxiety from navigating and trying to find success in the music industry. 

 

Written and co-produced by Germano, panic! finds the talented artist venturing into a darker sound when compared with its predecessor (the breakup anthem, “sorry i’m a mess”) and is his most experimental to date. The smooth, distorted vocals and panting throughout the song create an eerie atmosphere while the 808 bassline and earworm melodies lead to an infectious sing-along chorus. Accompanying the release we have a self-directed visualizer that you can check out below!

On the inspiration behind the track, he says,

I used to put so much pressure on myself to succeed that when my plans didn’t turn out exactly the way I hoped, I’d get terrible anxiety to the point that it was paralyzing – I didn’t know how to continue moving forward. It can be hard keeping the spark on in a career like this especially when you’re not yet where you want to be. So now I create music and art for my inner child and for my liking only, which brings me content and confidence in my work. This song is a reminder to myself that I have what it takes to accomplish my goals.
