KAWALA Unveil New Single ‘Old Me’
London-based, Alternative/Indie-Folk band KAWALA have just unveiled their brand new single Old Me, a bright, sun-soaked piece of indie-pop music out now via EMI.
Taken from their upcoming project, the Kawala Collection (Set to arrive on January 24th 2025), and written with Bombay Bicycle Club's Ed Nash, Old Me is an introspective ode to their older selves and a reflection on their lives so far, with high hopes and optimism for the future laying ahead. A relatable storytelling that is beautifully delivered through those gorgeous vocals and harmonies which are accompanied by a memorable indie-pop production. Apart from those echoing vocals, I am particularly fond of the hazy, bright synths and how they are nicely paired with intricate guitar riffs, cool rhythms and punchy drums that come together to create an overall warm, comforting atmosphere.
Speaking about the song, KAWALA said,
We wrote a song for the people we’ll become. A reminder of who we were and a promise of who we’ll be.
