Polly by Ida Fink

Danish singer and songwriter Polly shares her liberating new single Eyes On The Road

Out now on Rhizome, Eyes On The Road is a captivating alt-pop gem that finds the talented artist inviting listeners into a more energetic and outgoing universe. A song born out of a heartbreak, Eyes On The Road is a song about wanting to escape, about friendship and be together with the ones that really matter to us. A great song for road trips that is flawlessly delivered through Polly's smooth, dreamy vocals and ethereal harmonies that soar effortlessly over big guitar chords that melt with 90s synth sounds and empowering cheerleader choirs, while the acoustic drums drive the alt-pop harmonies forward! Accompanying this liberating gem we have a Thelma & Louise-inspired music video that enhances the song's vibrant atmosphere and warmth!

Speaking about the song, Polly said,
I was in the middle of a huge heartbreak, completely devastated and consumed with sorrow, when I saw the movie, ‘Thelma & Louise’, one night. I remember I went to bed and got up the next day, overwhelmed by a strong, powerful energy and desire to just run away, without looking back, to escape from what once was and to be together with those who really matter to me. For me, road tripping has always been a very special, intimate space. ‘Eyes on the Road’ enters this space. It’s about having renewed faith in tomorrow and all the adventures that are waiting to be explored. It’s about friendship and how this particular space between two people can make everyday worries disappear while some of the most meaningful conversations happen.
