Red Cell Share New Single ‘Hollywood Darkness’

Swedish duo Red Cell share their brand new single Hollywood Darkness, a retro-infused synth-pop cut out now via Stupid Dream Records. 

 

There's something about this song and the vocal delivery that reminds me a bit of Dead or Alive, with raw confidence and emotion pouring beautifully from those gorgeous vocals that glide effortlessly over the upbeat production. Drawing influences from electronic pop and a more grandiose production, Hollywood Darkness once again showcases Red Cell’s strong sense of hooks and big pop songs. Apart from the dramatic vocal delivery I am particularly fond of the bright synths nicely intertwined with killer beats and infectious melodies that come together to create an overall upbeat, feel-good atmosphere.
